NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Shares of Pfizer Inc. are up 0.11% to $28.24 after the company won the backing of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, a key U.S. advisory panel, to recommend its vaccine Prevnar 13 for people ages 65 and older to help prevent infections including pneumonia and meningitis, Bloomberg reports.
